ROAM Humanitarian Project

In February 2024, Bali Beyond Consultants (BBC) partnered with ROAM Humanitarian to conduct a series of impactful community support projects across various locations in Bali and Nusa Penida. These activities focused on education, community health, cultural exchange, and environmental sustainability. Below is a detailed account of each day’s events and contributions.

Day 1: Bali Life Suwung Community Center
Activities
- Conducted training sessions for women and children.
- Distributed essential supplies.

- Water Filters: Ensured access to clean and safe drinking water.
- Feminine Hygiene Kits: Provided necessary hygiene products to women and girls.
- Food Items: Distributed food supplies to support the nutritional needs of the community.
Day 2: Desa Tunjuk, Tabanan
Activities
- Visited a local school
- Engaged with children through reading and recreational activities.
Support Provided
- Book Donations: Enriched the school library with new reading materials
- Interactive Sessions: Volunteers read books to the children and organized playtime activities.
Day 3: Yayasan Al-Hikmah Denpasar
Activities
- Donated laptops to support digital education
- Participated in painting activities with the children
Support Provided
- Laptops: Equipped students and teachers with technology for better learning and teaching experiences.
- Community Engagement: Volunteers painted classrooms and other areas, creating a vibrant and inspiring environment
Day 4: Efata Primary School
Activities
- Shared cultural games and practiced English with students.
- Enjoyed traditional dance performances by the children.
Support Provided
- School Desks: Donated 20 new desks to improve classroom conditions.
- Food Bags: Provided food supplies to all children
- Gifts for Teachers and Staff: Acknowledged the hard work of educators with special gifts.
Impact
The donations and activities supported the school’s infrastructure and encouraged cultural exchange and language practice. The gifts to teachers and staff boosted morale and appreciation for their dedication.
Day 5: Nusa Penida
Activities
- Participated in a coral restoration project with local community members.
- Conducted a donation drive for village needs.
Support Provided
- Coral Restoration: Harvested coral from a farm and replanted it in the designated restoration area, led by Mr. Purne Barik.
- Donations: Distributed toys, hygiene kits, and coconut shredding machines to village members.
Impact
The coral restoration project contributed to the environmental sustainability of the region’s marine ecosystem. The donations addressed various needs of the village community, enhancing their quality of life and promoting environmental conservation.
